Shortage of medium-sized companies to fill steel construction and maintenance demand in Mozambique.


Mozambique is in the midst of an economic boom, fuelled by the recently discovered natural gas reserves beneath the country’s surface. The country is projected to reach $2.2 billion in annual GDP and create 250,000 new jobs by 2022. Yet, much of that economic growth is centered in the capital and smaller urban areas, leaving many rural communities in


The country was largely unaffected by the newfound prosperity. Many small businesses in Mozambique are unable to keep up with the demand for construction and maintenance work, particularly in the steel industry.


As a result , he country is experiencing a surge in construction activity as the country’s economy improves. Over the past year, it has seen significant growth in the manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism sectors. Much of this growth has been in the larger cities, which have provided substantial employment opportunities. However, much of the country’s growth has been in urban areas, leaving much of the country’s population relatively under-served.


Its economy is on track to meet its economic goals for the year. One of the biggest drivers of the country’s success is the booming construction industry. Builders and developers are turning to Mozambique to supply steel for new projects, and maintenance contracts for existing buildings.


After years of dormancy, Mozambique’s construction sector has been alive with activity over the past year, with a record number of building permits issued and a surge in steel demand, indicating that the country is on track to meet its economic goals for the year. One of the biggest drivers of the construction boom is the booming construction industry. Steel construction and maintenance services have been a growing sector in Mozambique’s economy in recent years. With the demand for steel increasing, the construction industry has been growing at a steady pace since 2016. Within the construction sector, the primary steel producers in Mozambique are China’s CRRC and Germany’s Siemens and ThyssenKrupp. Newly built plants are currently focused on steel plate and bars, and will produce primarily in quantities of 50,000 to 60,000 metric tons per year.
